Meet the Family Chiropractic Center of Lake Hopatcong Team

Leah

Hello, my name is Leah. In March of 2005 I began a new way of life as a CA here at Family Chiropractic Center. A calmer, healthier, and all around more fulfilling life.

I have always enjoyed working with people, though I never imagined how rewarding it would be. The members in our practice have become my extended family. I look forward to seeing every one of them each day. The best part of my position is knowing that I make a difference in their lives. I am the first and the last person that they see at each visit. It is refreshing to know that I have a small part in their overall wellness.

I am very lucky to work in such a great Team environment, and for such wonderful Doctors. Doctors that I have come to respect for many reasons, such as, an overwhelming dedication to the members that they serve, and a passion that has no limits or ending in sight.

I am pleased that I have the opportunity (made possible by Dr. Tami and Dr. Bret) to continue my education every chance I get. Whether it be hands on in the office, or in another state at a seminar, I am constantly pushed to be the best that I can be-and to serve all members with the knowledge that I have been given.

However, the most important family in my life is my very own. I am so grateful to have been blessed with incredible children, Dominick 7 and Tonianne who just turned 5.

My whole family has been effected so positively with Chiropractic care. When I began getting adjusted I had already been suffering immensely with headaches, depression, stomach issues, hip and lower back pain, and frequent colds. Some of which had worsened or just appeared, and never disappeared during my first pregnancy. A pregnancy that ended with a traumatic birth. A planned induction. An epidural which used two Doctors and way too many attempts to administer, and later ended up falling out before giving birth to my son. A vacuum extraction partly due to being rushed and my body not being ready.

All of which I believe played a large part in my sons health issues in his first year of life. Like his delay of turning his head, holding his head up, his feeding troubles, chronic ear infections, and quite a few sicknesses. He had taken an abundance of antibiotics in his first year alone. If only I knew then what I know now! Now…Dominick is thrilled when he is the only child in his class that never misses a day of school!!!

My daughter however, after researching and educating myself, was born one year ago in such a calm and beautiful way. She was born through water birthing in Hackettstown Hospital. I gave birth with absolutely no use of medications and with no unwanted assistance from my wonderful midwife. My second pregnancy was amazing, and I owe most of it to being adjusted and my body being ready.

My daughter was also very fortunate, she began getting adjusted within 48 hours of entering the world. She is a wonderful little girl with no medical issues, and has only had a few short-term colds to date.I couldn’t be happier to tell you that all of us are so much healthier and happier today than we could have ever been. There is no way to thank Dr. Tami and Dr. Bret enough for what they have assisted us in becoming.

I am so thankful for both of my families and their high expectations of me. Everyday I move towards the goal of achieving my total wellness, and in helping others achieve theirs.I look forward to seeing you in our office!

Amy

Hi my name is Amy Cieslik and I am the newest CA to Family Chiropractic Center. I began in August of 2007 and love my new career. I have learned a lot about wellness chiropractic and nutrition since I began. My family has begun chiropractic care as well, and we are doing great! My son and I suffered frequently from severe headaches, and are happy to report they have been contained to a minimum, if any.

I have been married for 13 years to my husband Mike. I have 2 wonderful children, Michael 12, and Justine, 11. I graduated college from The University of South Florida as a Speech Communications major. I worked in the corporate world for years and decided to take some time off to raise my children. After 12 years of being a stay at home mom, Family Chiropractic has been a great career change. I hope you can come in and visit us and our wonderful chiropractic family.

Dr. Tami & Dr. Bret Asks some important questions of interest to Lake Hopatcong residents - Chiropractor Lake Hopatcong Dr. Tami & Dr. Bret Asks...

What causes vertebral subluxations?
Chiropractors acknowledge three types of stress: physical, chemical and emotional. When the adaptive capacity of your body is compromised, weakened areas along the spine can become involved. Muscles tighten, spinal joints lock up and nearby nerves are affected. The purpose of chiropractic care is to find these areas and restore balance, alignment and motion.
What's a side effect?
It may sound like a bonus; something extra, but chiropractors know it should more accurately called an "unintended effect," and "unwanted effect" or in some cases an "adverse effect." A pill can't come close to matching your body's ability to create and deliver the essential compounds it needs. That's when it's important to make sure your nervous system is working correctly—the purpose of chiropractic care!
